Description
This 3D puzzle® is broadly based on cottages to be found in The Cotswolds, an area of limestone hills located in the south west of England, stretching from Chipping Campden in the north to Bath in the south. It is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasting beautiful countryside, pretty towns and historic buildings. Cottages were frequently built from ashlar, large square-cut stones used as a facing on walls constructed from small pieces of stone or rubble. The roofs were made from stone slate, and the steep pitch helped both to support the weight of the slates and ensure rainfall ran off quickly, helping to keep the roof space and the house dry. Cottages have large windowsills, sometimes with mullions (vertical bars of masonry or timber) around the windows, with particularly unusual or ornate windows being an indication of wealth. Consisting of 216 puzzle pieces, each is numbered on the back to help you complete the puzzle, and requires no glue to hold together. Measuring an impressive 39.3 x 22.7 x 38cm when complete, this is the perfect puzzle to display for all to admire., , Skills acquired when playing Puzzles:, Cognitive skills., Problem solving., Fine motor development., Hand & Eye coordination., Social growth., Self Esteem.
