This book is directed at the Arab reader, especially university students, with the aim of introducing them to the most important contemporary philosophical currents, and the most important philosophers in each stream, focusing on the general lines and the basic starting points from which each stream originated, with a reflection on the impact of each stream on human thought in general, and on The history and transformations of contemporary philosophy, and the most important real additions that have had a major role in changing the style of philosophical thinking, and in directing the helm of this science a new direction. The book focuses in particular on the following trends: Marxist materialism, pragmatism, analytical philosophy, life philosophy at Bergson, Phenomenology at Husserl, personality, existentialism, logical positivism, structuralism and beyond, and then concludes with a chapter in which he talks about philosophy and issues of the times. At the end of each chapter, the book presents one or two texts for one of the great philosophers who represent the current and express it.
