While ashwagandha is a member of the nightshade (plant) family, the issue with nightshades for some people, is primarily in response to the steroidal lactones withanolides A. These are found in greater amounts in the leaves rather than the root. Therefore, by using just the root (as we do), there is a lower risk of cross-reactivity. Studies also emphasize the immune-supporting properties of ashwagandha via cortisol modulation. Dosage: 2capsules per day with or without food. The dose can be increased if required.
