FiberPasta is an Italian functional and healthy Pasta with a very low glycemic index (GI 23), much lower than regular pasta. It contains a high fiber amount (15g fiber per 100g), that means more than twice the fiber of dark whole wheat pasta, while still being able to offer the same great taste as the traditional Italian pasta. It contains a low nickel content. In the year 2001 the Italian Ministry of Health approved FiberPasta as "suitable for people suffering from the troubles of glucose metabolism (diabetes)". The high amount of fiber slows fats and carbohydrate absorption and contributes to weight and cholesterol control and helps the digestive health.
