VITABALANS Ferrodan Fe2+ Iron and Vitamin C Tablet, 100 mg is a slow-release tablet with iron and vitamin C. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron. Iron and Vitamin C Tablet releases iron for six hours in the gut. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron. A source of iron, ferrous(II) bis-glycinate is a chelate of Iron and glycine amino acid from which Iron is well absorbed and has high bioavailability in the body. In addition, ferrous(II) bis-glycinate is well tolerated and non-irritating in the stomach and gut causing much fewer adverse effects, unlike other iron compounds.Iron is essential in the formation of normal red blood cells and hemoglobin.
