A word from the author, Zanib Mian:I've loved creating this book! Researching these phenomenal women - our role models - and working on the research phase with a dear friend, Reefa, marvelling over their (ra) dedication, bravery, intelligence and awe-inspiring trust in Allah, brought me so much joy! I also really loved crafting the fictional plot that runs along the non-fiction, educational parts of the book, using twists and turns to segue onto all the different women in Islam. And having an interesting discussion with Shaykh Ibrahim, who checked the book. Of course, seeing Daniel's illustrations is always fantastic fun! Writing this book motivated me to be a better version of myself, aspiring to these great role-models! I pray our young girls are hugely inspired by them too, and that our boys learn to lift-up and support the females in their lives, treating them with the same tenderness and respect that the book shows our Prophet (saw) did.
