This bed is perfect for my 4 year old. She feels safe and secure in it - but still has plenty of room to move. Only disappointment is the pump provided - the outer part is easy to pump up but for the inner mattress you need to use the attachment which wouldn't stay in the pump by itself so had to tape it, to then blow up the mattress. Very annoying!
