### Description

Get ready for endless fun with the Melissa & Doug Sandwich Making Set, a must-have wooden pretend play food kit that sparks creativity and imaginative role-play for your little chef. This delightful set features 16 stackable "fixins," allowing children to build their perfect sandwich exactly how they like it. A key feature is the included wooden knife that creates a satisfying "crunch" sound when slicing the self-stick food pieces apart, simulating fresh ingredients. Made from durable wood, this toy promotes essential development through activities like identifying food groups (meat, dairy, grain, fruits and vegetables), counting, following instructions, and understanding basic fractions when cutting the bread loaf. The kit includes a handy wooden storage tray to keep all 16 pieces neatly organized between play sessions.

This engaging play food set encourages hands-on learning and social skills, making it perfect for independent play or interaction with a parent. Parents can use the extension activities to engage children in memory games by removing a piece and having them identify what is missing.
